Hello and welcome to the JB Data Engineering July Newsletter. If you’ve been out racing or testing in the UK or Europe over the last ten days, we hope you survived the heat!

June has been a predictably busy month for us. We began the month with a visit to Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli for Rounds Four and Five of International GT Open supporting Greystone GT. Drivers Zak Meakin and Dean MacDonald were on top form throughout the weekend with Dean qualifying the #33 McLaren 720S GT3 Evo on pole, ahead of the Elite Motorsport Ferrari.

Two second place finishes, both by margins of less than a second, meant that Dean and Zak left Italy lying third on the overall points table, just seven points behind Team Motorpark’s Maxi Götz  and Christian Mansell. The next event is at the Hungaroring in July and we can’t wait to rejoin the team and compete of podium glory in Hungary!

The month finished with a busy weekend at Donington with SVG Motorsport, competing in the GT Cup Championship. The team enjoyed a solid weekend with the #888 Ginetta G56 EVO GT4 driven by Marc Elman and Alex Toth-Jones and the #24 GTA BMW M4 GT4 piloted by Neil Wallace and Ian Astley, recording seven out of eight possible podiums in class, including wins in GTA and GTH.

Outside of attending race weekends, we were as busy as ever providing data support and equipment supply to clients up and down the country and the year shows no signs of slowing down any time soon!

Looking ahead, we’ve mentioned below that we have dates available for the 2026/27 Asian Le Mans Series and Asian Le Mans Cup. We’re aware that the calendar has yet to be finalised but please contact us if you’d like to discuss ‘locking in’ your data and video analysis resource before the diary starts filling up.

Looking Ahead to 2027

Even though we have barely passed the halfway point of the 2026 season, motorsport never stops and many teams are already making plans for racing in Asia in 2026/27. The announcement of the introduction of the Asian Le Mans Cup for LMP3 machinery to run alongside the Asian Le Mans Series with the new Hypercar Pro/Am class means that many teams will see Asia as a key focus of competition on their way to ELMS and WEC glory.
