Hello and welcome to the JB Data Engineering June 2026 Newsletter

We’ve enjoyed a busy month of May with visits to iconic circuits across the UK and into Europe and began the month by supporting the first competitive outing of Jeff Smith’s #46 Audi R8 LMS Ultra in the opening rounds of the new-for-2026 GT3 Legends series.

With experience in the BTCC and latterly in the Goodyear Mini Challenge - Miglia, Jeff was soon at home in the immaculately-liveried Audi Sport machine and qualified seventh overall. Jeff went on to finish seventh in the opening race followed by fifth in Race Two, proving the competitive credentials of the Audi R8 LMS.

We followed up the Donington weekend with a visit to Spa-Francorchamps later in the month where unfortunate mechanical gremlins meant that we didn’t get a chance to compete. Working amongst the spectacular entries on the GT3 Legends grid was fantastic and we very much look forward to re-joining the team as the season progresses.

Mid-May saw us at Snetterton for GT Cup action with SVG Motorsport. The #24 BMW M4 GT4 piloted by Neil Wallace and Ian Astley and the #888 Ginetta G56 EVO GT4 driven by Marc Elman, Alex Toth-Jones and Cameron Pratt-Thompson had a busy weekend with four races over the two days. We were delighted to leave Norfolk having taken seven class podiums, including two victories Racing in the GTA class for Neil and Ian in the #24 BMW.

The #24 duo currently lead the overall championship and the GTA standings while Marc and Cameron lie second on the GTH class table so, all in all, a very successful weekend! JB Data Engineering looks forward rejoining the team at Donington in late June.

To conclude a very busy month, JB Data Engineering supported Britcar in our Data Scrutineering role when the championship visited Spa-Francorchamps (two visits to this beautiful circuit in the space of ten days for JB DE!). As always, it was a busy weekend and we thoroughly enjoyed the cameraderie and support of the paddoc
